The information on this page is intended as a summary of the factory warranty. It is a general statement of the warranty and may not represent the actual factory warranty in every detail. The actual factory warranty information is available from the manufacturer and applies in all cases. Equipment Distributors, Inc. does not warrant any product beyond the manufacturer's stated terms.

Limited Warranty

Maxon Inc. (the "Company") warrants to its Dealers that all metal and wood components of its Products (the "Products") are free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of original purchase by and end user for standard office applications.

The term of the Warranty is as follows:

Steel Pedestals and People Furniture Desks: 10 years
Parallel Panels and Components: 10 years
Teaming Workplace Tables: 10 years
Thermoformed FinishProducts:10 years
All other Maxon Standard Product: 5 years

The Fabric on the Products is warranted for two (2) years. The Company does not warrant the color fastness or matching of colors, grains, or textures of such materials.

This Warranty does not apply to: Normal wear and tear; Products which are not installed or used for standard office applications; Products not used for normal 8 hour work day use; damage caused by attachments to a Product not approved by the Company; damage cause by Dealer or end user modifications to a Product; damage caused during Product reconfiguration; defects in nonstandard materials selected by and used at the request of the dealer or end user; or damage caused during shipment or storage, or by accident or misuse, of a Product.

EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, THE COMPANY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND IN PARTICULAR NO WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST REVENUES INSTALLATION COSTS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM ANY PRODUCT DEFECT. THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT (AT THE COMPANY'S OPTION) UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE DEALER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.

Dealer shall similarly warrant the Products to the end user.

Lifetime Warranty. If a mechanical or operable part of a FireKing records container malfunctions or breaks down during normal use, FireKing will, at our option, repair or replace such part free for as long as the original purchaser owns the product.

Free replacement guarantee: If a FireKing file sustains any damage while protecting records from a fire, FireKing will replace it free of charge.

Steel files, desks, credenzas, returns, storage cabinets, hutches, and bookcases are warranted for 15 years. Wood and wood base files, desks, credenzas, returns, hutches, and bookcases are warranted for 12 years. Steel and wood seating product's components for 12 years. Fabric for 3 years. Gas cylinders, casters, and polymer-based components for 5 years. Panel materials and workmanship for 12 years. Fabric for 3 years. Electrical components are warranted for 12 years. Lamps and ballasts are not warranted.

All Martin Furniture products carry a TEN YEAR limited warranty to be free of manufacturing defects in workmanship. (Component parts not manufactured by Martin Furniture such as electrical light fixtures, light bulbs, and electrical surge protectors are warranted by those respective manufacturers). Cost of transportation to our factory will be the responsibility of the customer. After the item is returned to our factory, we will repair or replace with same or similar unit, at our discretion. If defective, product will be repaired or replaced and shipped back to the dealer at no cost. This warranty is void if Martin Furniture deems said damage was caused by abuse, negligence, modification, or by accident.
